Covering poverty: A tool kit for journalists is a Web site for journalists who want to improve coverage of poverty on any beat.
The site was developed by faculty and staff at the University of Georgia's Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. Advice was drawn from journalists and journalism educators across the U.S.
Look at the navigation to the left. Tutorials will take you to eight, fully developed, courses on covering poverty as a part of most news beats. Want something quicker? Resources will take you to a host of tip sheets, a bibliography and links to the best poverty-oriented Web sites.
Funding for the site was made possible by the University of Georgia Research Foundation under a grant administered by the Office of the Vice President of Public Service and Outreach.
